Pre-Ordering is a great way to gauge what the public enjoys.  Since we opened the pre-order for the BallCall collection we have collected a lot of data about which models are preferred and which are not.  After careful consideration we have the following change…

All BallCall models will feature sub seconds and Harbormasters will be Center Seconds.  This will allow more difference between the two collections yet keeping them similar in the STOLAS brand.

We have had an enormous amount of positive feedback from the community about our rugged Naval Aviator BallCalls and in particular all the sub seconds models (including the Quartz, Autos, and Power Reserves).  Thus is why we have switched gears to separating the two collections in this way, simple yet refined…

This being said, the three models that have changed are the Alert 5, Reno, and Hellcat.

The Alert 5 now illustrates a flashing alarm sense with its new circled indexes and keeping true to the Alert 5 wartime warning, the minutes are now labeled and positioned in 5 minute intervals.

The Reno possibly has experienced the most change.  The Reno was inspired as a fast looking watch signifying the races held in Reno, NV.  Although we feel it looked great as a center second model, we felt it needed a little more speed.  We added racing stripes…

After the amount of pre-orders we have received of our Hornet model with the Yellow stripes (signifying the stripes on the Blue Angels flight suits), we knew we could incorporate racing stripes into the Reno.  Also included is an instrument gauge inspired 60 click sub second dial.  If you want speed, it is nice to be able to measure it.  We kept off the minute clicks to retain a vintage appeal with its rustic “worn” dark stripes, but felt it appropriate for the seconds to be counted.  The Square gauge design adds that bit of cockpit feel.

Finally we have the Vintage Hellcat.  The Hellcat is named after the first plane used by the Blue Angels.  We made it a little darker by taking out all the white, but kept it’s color for instant Blue Angel appeal.  Even though this might be our most colorful BallCall, we feel it is also our most unique. We have changed the numbers to signify minutes instead of hours to quickly discern the time for maneuvers.

Just a few other notes that I had forgotten to mention are, all the BallCall’s (save for the sapphire case back models: Air Screw & Enigma) will have a 300m water resistance!  Also included is a new 2 year warranty.  This is 100% more than the industry standard of just one…  We know you will absolutely love our new ALL SWISS timepieces and our movements are superior and keep phenomenal time.

Yes, there is just one more thing.  We are making a minor change to the case.  We are set to keeping the STOLAS models similar looking so that it is very distinguishable as a brand.  We don’t do multiple styles of cases, we want you to love your STOLAS and those around you to know what you have.  When multiple cases get introduced into a brand, that instant recognition disappears.  I am always looking for innovative ideas and I ran across an iphone case.  While looking at it I felt it would make a great lug design.  So, with the inspiration of this case comes some great innovation.  It is a very minor change, as to not upset the case as a whole, but just a little refinement to add just a hint of more angles and add that luxury feel.

Make sure you get in early on the pre-order!
